The Firewalk Instructor Training (FIT)  is a four-day intensive program, which consists of both classroom setting learning, and hands-on practical training. The focus of this course is centered around the ancient, transformational ritual of firewalking, and provides the student with in-depth instruction on all the necessary skills needed to lead firewalks, such as proper fire building, fuel types, wood specifics, and tending techniques. FIT students not only receive all the pertinent training and detailed instruction regarding safety requirements needed to facilitate firewalks, but also they learn how to facilitate other activities such as glasswalking, steel bending, arrow snapping, board and brick breaking, and more. And every FIT student gets the chance to experience each activity as a “participant” in order to receive the benefit of these exercises, which makes this is an extremely powerful, and unparalleled, personal-development program that changes the lives of those who attend.

About this firewalk instructor training retreat

Nestled in the heart of the peaceful and serene landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, the Eco-Spa retreat center where this Firewalk Instructor Training certification will be hosted is an ideal location for this immersive training, and the investment made to partake in this retreat includes meals and lodging. The benefit of experiencing the training in this manner is that “living together” for the four days of training affords us more time to perform and discuss our activities without having to be concerned with travel time to and from the venue. Also, this allows us to deepen our relationship with one another, enabling us to find greater strength in our support of each other as we face challenges in unity.

During the course of our four days together, we will not only build life-long bonds with our fellow participants and facilitators, but also with ourselves, empowering us evermore to take what we learn back to the world to help those we love, care for, coach, guide, teach, mentor, lead, manage, and support. There will be plenty of “down time” as well for personal reflection, walking the beautiful grounds, or simply enjoying the peace and tranquility of the retreat center. This is an experience not to miss, especially as we open our hearts and “classrooms” to multi-cultures, and facilitate this workshop in both English and Spanish, expanding our reach as healers. This bi-lingual FIT is presented by F.I.R.E. certified Master Instructors Teresita Cardona, Cristina Cardona, and Albee Pedone.

Conveniently located, the retreat center can be reached several ways. The closest airport is the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO) , which is a small regional airport, approximately 20 minutes from the venue. Within approximately two-hours drive time are two international airports: Richmond International Airport (RIC), and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), with Reagan National Airport (DCA) within a similar drive to this workshop. Amtrak also provides train service to nearby Charlottesville, Virginia (CVS), and Greyhound provides bus service to Charlottesville as well. Car rentals are available at the airports, and for those travelling into either Charlottesville’s CHO airport, Amtrak station, or Greyhound Union Station, we can provide a free ride to the retreat center for you with proper notification (please do not call us when you arrive in Charlottesville for a ride).  Uber and Lyft services are both available as well.

Investment to enroll in this program is $3,800, which includes the cost of the training, all training materials, all meals during the training (beginning with lunch on Tues., June 3rd through breakfast on Fri., June 6th) and a private room. Students are required to cover the cost of their travel to and from the retreat center.
